God Help Us All!

I think the Mayans were correct in their 2012 prediction. I mean, look at this:

Stallone, Willis, Schwazenneger, Van Damme, and NORRIS!

That’s right. CHUCK F*CKING NORRIS!

Not even the combined strengths of Batman, Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, and the Hulk is enough to save us from Chuck Norris‘ fist hidden underneath that beard of his.

God help us all.

Josh Never Ends Up With the Girl…But Not For Long!!!

My friends and I noticed that in most of his films, Josh Hutcherson never ends up with the girl. Allow me to illustrate via pictures.

Exhibit One: 10-year-old Gabe Malley did not end up with 11-year-old Rosemary Telesco (played by Charlie Ray) due to external circumstances inLittle Manhattan.

Exhibit Two: Because of an unfortunate accident, Jess Aarons did not end with Leslie Burke in Bridge to Terabithia.

You’d think that after two films where he does not end up with the girl, the third time will be the charm. It seems like it will. Info from his upcoming movie (no, notThe Hunger GamesJourney 2: The Mysterious Island mentions that Josh will have a “love interest”.

Finally! After years of ending up single, he’ll finally have a sweetheart! Someone who will…

Uhuh… Okay…  Uh, I think I’d rather wait for another Josh Hutcherson-AnnaSophia Robb tandem…

I like their chemistry.

Meh!

Or maybe I still haven’t forgiven her for making Highschool Musical

Upcoming Reviews: Drive, and There Be Dragons

Two new films will be shown in the Philippines tomorrow. First is Nicolas Winding Refn‘s Drive, the highly acclaimed thriller starring Ryan Gosling, and Roland Joffe‘s There Be Dragons, the religious/historical epic about the the recently canonized Saint Josemaria Escriva set during the Spanish Civil War.

I’m still choosing which film to watch. My instincts tell me that I’ll probably watch Drive in the cinemas, and just wait for a DVD release of There Be Dragons in the future (considering the news I’ve heard that the film wasn’t too successful in the box-office and among critics). But then, I’m Catholic, and I could probably watch There Be Dragons in the cinemas to show support for religious films (I’m kinda hoping to prove the other critics wrong).

Stay tuned!

Oh! It’s November already. It’ll be December in a few weeks. The Christmas season has arrived! 🙂

A Remake of Commando starring Sam Worthington?

So another Arnold Schwarzenegger film is being remade, and again it’s starring Sam Worthington. It’ll be a remake of Commando.

Yeah, let that sink in for now.

So, uh, you’ll John Matrix transform from this…

… to this?

I couldn't find a picture of him carrying guns.

I dunno you guys. I kinda reminds me of this:

and this:

And it also doesn’t help that the director of the upcoming remake is the same director who made that cop film starring Keanu Reeves, Forest Whitaker, Chris Evans, and Dr. Gregory House himself.

Hmmm, this sounds like another train wreck in the works.
